At the kitchen table of his parents' modest home in Pleasantville, Frank trembled as he opened the large envelope he'd discovered while shredding Clayton's Muscle Movers, Inc. documents. Not only was the elusive report from private investigator Lauren Gowland in the envelope, but also enclosed was a fascinating collection of personal items. Frank pushed the report aside and examined invitations to Dana Clayton's high school and college graduation ceremonies, and the announcement of her destination wedding held in Las Vegas only eighteen months prior.

Those items had been opened, and Frank examined the photographs Dana had included with them, but there also appeared to be hand-written letters which had not been opened. Frank sighed as he read the personal notes included with the invitations. The return address on some of the letters provided Jennifer's Metairie address, but at least one of them included her Houston address.

Frank proceeded to the Gowland report, which was elegantly bound with a purple cover bearing the investigator's logo embossed in gold leaf. Carefully, he read through the document and learned where Jennifer Clayton and her daughter had relocated, their occupations and general schedules, and that Dana was pregnant. He came to the information about Jennifer's engagement to one of Houston's wealthiest tycoons.

Wow. Jennifer's getting married. He put his elbows on the table and rested his head in his hands. That must be why this report was hidden. How can these people be so cruel?
